‘With nature in mind’ is a mindfulness and nature-connection programme for local people, refugees and people seeking sanctuary to come together, slow down and feel in greater harmony with the rhythms of the natural world. Spending time in nature is a powerful and proven way to relax, ease stress and worry, and find greater energy, focus and peace of mind in the bustle of everyday city life.
About the six week programme
Beginning in the summer when our parks and riversides are full of life, each session will offer participants mindful and nature connection practices to calm the mind and step into a more peaceful way of being. Practices that can be done at anytime, anywhere. Sessions will explore:
• Contact with nature through the senses
• The beauty and awe present in the natural world
• Compassion for ourselves, for others, and nature
• Our emotional connection to nature
• How nature can bring meaning to our lives
• We will close with a session that supports you to take practices forward into your everyday life
Where: We will be outside in the beautiful Waterlow Park, near Highgate Village, whatever the weather.
How many people: We will be a small group of 10-12 people with 2 Tutors.
