Kenge Kenge - Kenya

Friday 1 August ~  doors open 7pm, music at 7.30pm  

An end of term party with Kenge Kenge! They evolved from the marriage of a choir that sang patriotic songs and hymns and a band playing popular benge dance music . They now play on traditional instruments such as the orutu (one-stringed fiddle), asili (flute) and oporo (ox horn), Kenge Kenge are, in effect, returning benge to its roots.

Admissiont is £10 and can be paid on the door.
