St Ethelburga’s Tibet Week
 Monday 8 – Friday 12 June

We’re delighted to welcome the Tibetan monks of Tashi Lhunpo monastery (exiled in Karnataka) who will create a sand mandala throughout the week.
Issues of peace and reconciliation in Tibet will be explored through talks, reflections and music around the mandala.

Film: Dalai Lama Renaissance

Tibet Foundation Anniversary Concert

Sunday 7 June 6.30pm

Sunday 7th is Saga Dawa: The Buddha Day, commemorating the birth, enlightenment and passing away of the Buddha according to the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. It is an auspicious coincidence that the Tibetan Peace Garden Anniversary Concert takes place on the same day.
The programme for the day consists of a series of
cultural performances presented by different communities
from Tibet, China, India and Mongolia. It starts with a spiritual presentation from Tashi Lhunpo monks.
